I’d just like to say: What the hell is up with the victim-disbelieving language? “An apparent sex assault,” “she claims,” “he apparently kissed her” … I know news sources are supposed to try to sound as unbiased as possible, but I think they overdid it in this case. The writer seems to seriously doubt the assault, rather than having taken a neutral stance.

    • Thank you, I was about to comment on the same thing! That kind of language is why a lot of these incidents go unreported: victims are afraid they won’t be taken seriously or will be easily dismissed.

  2. I have had a few run ins with I believe the same guy, always at 22nd. He usually just commented on my shirt and then one day commented on my chest the following occasion he put his hand on my stomach while I was leaning against the corner of the elevator. I asked him to “back up a little please” but he did not. I then told him I was going to call the police and he shook his head and backed up. We got off the elevator and I waited for the next train as did he but when the 3rd train came, he finally got on and I got on the next. He really needs to be caught.
