Public Screening

Thank you first of all for creating this platform! It is high time that stories like these are collected to show that these seemingly small, not that big of a deal stories are truly part of a pervasive attitude of society

In March 2012, I was on a fairly empty Skytrain heading East from Downtown. I sat across the aisle from a middle aged man who decided to watch a video on his phone. Without earphones. If that wasn`t inconsiderate enough, the video he decided to watch can only be described as porn. I was too shocked and disgusted to know what to do. The only response I could muster was to glare at him, not that it mattered since he was too fixated on his entertainment. Is this a case of harassment? Not directly, but an example of the entitlement some have in making public places very uncomfortable and conducive to harassment.
